Some projects take much longer than others. When my now two year old was born, I decided that our paper written rules of the house sign needed some “prettying up” (no that is not an art term).
As with all projects, you need the right canvas, and luckily my brother in law had given me a beautiful and large canvas for Christmas that year. So my kids and I set out on our collaboration.
Even the little guy got a chance to make his mark!
After reviewing everything we want to be, I set out to paint the letters. The kids came up with a lot of great suggestions. Some are do’s and don’t and some are just who we are. This project, as with most projects that have no deadline have lingered, but it is finally up. I discovered some handy paint markers that made the process a little easier. I think we will probably add our name to the top and maybe add a few rules since paintings left in my house never seem to be done, but I am pretty pleased with the final outcome, and it is a great project to do with kids.
Happy crafting!
